The department Model Methodology & Development is the central function responsible for the development and maintenance of models used in the analysis of credit risk, in particular regulatory Pillar 1 IRB models, Pillar 2 and IFRS 9 models as well as risk decision models. It is also responsible for the definition of group-wide model development standards. We are looking for 1 Internship in Model Methodology & Development (all genders) * Location:Wien * Working hours:Part-time * Occupational Area:Risikomanagement, Sonstige * Company:Erste Group Bank AG Your Tasks * Contribute to the development and maintenance of credit risk and decision models by applying appropriate statistical techniques * Support data preparation activities for model development, ensuring adequate data quality in terms of consistency and completeness * Assist in the further development of group-wide credit risk model development standards * Support the documentation of models for both internal and regulatory approval Your Background *  Ongoing studies at a University/University of Applied Sciences in natural or economic science with focus on mathematics, statistics, econometrics or banking and finance * Profound knowledge in applied statistics (e.g. ML: regression analysis, neural network, decision trees, random forests) as well as experience in a statistical programming language (e.g. Python, R, SQL) * English proficient according to the requirements in both spoken and written * Team-oriented with strong ability to cooperate Our Offer * Exciting and challenging part-time internship (19.25h/week) as of January 2026 until December 2026 * Support of your professional and personal development in a dynamic, comprehensive and interesting area * We guarantee an internship allowance of minimum EUR 2.660,50 gross per month on a full-time basis (except obligatory internships) and https://www.erstegroup.com/en/career/benefits  of Erste Group * We consider the diversity of our employees as key to innovation and success.
