Open position Join our Meriaura Team Meriaura Oy is a shipping company, established in 1986 and headquartered in Turku. Meriaura specializes in the transportation of dry cargo and complex project deliveries in Northern Europe, particularly within the Baltic Sea and North Sea areas. Our fleet features dry cargo vessels and deck cargo ships designed to transport special cargo. Meriaura aims to be the leading forerunner in eco-friendly, innovative, and solution- oriented sea transport services. Chief Officer We are looking for a permanent Chief Officer (certificate unlimited STCW II/2) to join our vessel AAVA VG (https://meriaura.fi/portfolio/aavavg/). Aava VG is a coaster (general bulk) trading mainly in the Baltic and North Sea area. Official working lan- guage is English and therefore good language skills are required. Previous experience as chief officer and from similar vessel type is essential. General information The position will open up in September 2025, approximately around week 39. The position is permanent after a traditional trial period. Rotation according to 1:1 system, work and leave periods approximately five (5) weeks.
